I’m not a big believer in astrology but I am always pretty shocked at how much of an Aquarius I really am – there’s no other star sign that fits me quite as well so if you feel the same about your own sign, then you might like this one!

Astrology is nothing new (in fact, it’s pretty old – bronze-age old!) but rather than finding out what your sign has in store for you for the day or month ahead, what can it tell you about the best decor style for your home? Using indications of these traits, I’ve come up with 12 different recommendations for styling your home according to the stars!

We all know that Leos love to be the centre of attention and their passion and warm-hearted energy makes them natural-born leaders. A large open plan sociable kitchen fit for entertaining is the perfect element for your home, where you can show off your skills and impress your adoring guests. Your home is your castle and so bold and exciting design choices will show off your bravery and style.

Another earth sign, Virgo is practical and grounded with a methodical approach to design where everything is planned to the last detail. You’re probably the best sign to work from a mood board where each element of a room design is decided well in advance and you won’t thrive where there is chaos or disorganisation. As a hardworking and practical person, you’ll want to keep on top of a strict cleaning schedule and create a well organised and minimalist style.

The Libra, with its symbol of the scales, is all about justice, fairness and balance. Bring that diplomacy into your home with the beauty of symmetry. Gemini (21 May – 20 June)

The Gemini is curious and adaptable and there’s nothing boring about them! You’re indecisive and hate routine so creating a home that’s fun and easily changeable is your best bet. In this instance, paint is your new best friend. Why not try out the latest colour trends for your home with some new paint colours on the walls? Then of course, when you tire of it (because yes, you probably will), you can move on to the next fun colour of the moment. Stick to neutral colours for your investment pieces but add some fun with accessories that can be easily swapped around when the mood strikes!

Cancer (21 June – 22 July)

Cancers are private souls but incredibly loyal to those they love. Ensure you have intimate areas for good conversation in your home and be sure to create focal points that aren’t based on the big black box. As an art lover, you’ll want to fill your home with gorgeous pieces on your walls and scenes of the beach are a great bet. After all, as a water sign, the sea is your happy place!
