Today, Friday, the 5th of October, is Breast Cancer Awareness Day and I would love it if you could join me in raising awareness of Breast Cancer by supporting an amazing cause.

Every 10 minutes someone in the UK hears the shocking news that they have breast cancer. They’ll probably feel frightened and confused – and their family and friends might need help too. Breast Cancer Care provides information and offers emotional and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer.  At a time when someone affected by breast cancer is feeling vulnerable and doesn’t know where to turn for help, Breast Cancer Care are there.

In honor of the day and to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kirsty of A Safe Mooring has asked me as well as other bloggers to turn our blogs pink for the day in our own individual ways.

Of course, for Swoon Worthy, that means sharing some really gorgeous pink interiors for your delectation.  I hope as you look through the glamorous images you keep in mind the rather more serious message that this is a charity that needs your support.  At the end of the post, I’ll share more ways in which you too can help spread the word and give a bit of your time, attention and if possible, your donation to an incredibly worthy cause.

I figured if we are in for a penny, we’re in for a pound so we might as well start with this fabulously over the top chinoiserie display.  I love how the ornate style of the mirror and vintage furniture play so nicely with the simple, modern prints.

I love the little surprise of pink in this secretary’s desk.  Well, of course you would leave it open  when there’s so much gorgeous on display.

If bold, deep cerise seems a bit too ‘in your face’, how about using the palest bubblegum pink?  I love how it lifts the white of the architecture in this room and instantly softens the whole room in gorgeous feminine style.

How about some gorgeously pink celebrity style?  I’ve loved this room in  Betsy Johnson’s NY Home for a very long time.  Who knew pink could be so casually elegant?

I’ve loved this vignette in Christine’s home from Bijou and Boheme for quite some time as well.  Everything about it is stunning (that print! I die!) and I love how the black lamp shades ground the whole scheme – simply gorgeous.

This chair is so incredibly retro-cool, it’s lines perfectly punctuate the soft lilac colour behind it.

Now I saw this NY Apartment on The Decorista the other day and I fell.  Oh I fell hard.   The pink tufted chairs were spread around the whole of the flat and in every instance, looked absolutely perfect.  The leopard print rug is something I need in my life too.

On the other side of pure glamour is the subtle coziness in softest pink of this next bedroom.  Doesn’t it just beckon you to sleep just 5 more minutes?  Ahhhh.

And of course, I couldn’t have a pink post without showing off my new dressing room which contains plenty of pink accents.  As a side note, I was over the moon that so many of you loved it so I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the lovely comments!
