So if you checked out my post on Monday, I created a little video sharing some of the very excellent finds at John Lewis when I did a bit of impulse shopping. In that video, I also promised I would share with you where all those little bits and bobs ended up in my home and so that’s what I’m going to do today!

You can check out the video here!

Strangely, most of what I found myself buying were things for the bathroom and it became clear to me that I was craving a little bit of a refresh of the space. Not much has changed in there since our remodel was completed last year but shaking up the accessories on the shelves felt really good and I love how they ended up.

So… my Lilly Flame fragrance diffuser, the Plum & Ashby hand and body lotion and the Animalier leopard print soap all found their homes on the little shelving unit.

The shelves are a bit too tiny for a tray so I decided to use a couple of vintage Chinese-design plates I had to hold the pretty soap, a posh tube of body butter as well as act as a catch-all for my jewellery.

I’m loving the hand lotion as well and now I think I might go back and buy the hand soap too!

Can I just say that the fragrance diffuser is LUSH? Oh my god I want to hang out in the bathroom all the time just because it smells so fabulous in here (now that’s something I never thought I’d say)!

I also decided to add some dried Chinese lanterns to the very top of the shelf for some added colour.

And I moved a couple of vases into the space below and filled my geometric vase with some little blooms from the garden. The animal print vase is from Zara Home and the geometric one is from Whimsy & Wilbur.

Moving on to the dining room, the gold peanut has found a home on the console table. I do like to swap things out here fairly often and it wasn’t long ago that it was changed so it was just a matter of moving a few things around.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have already seen that amazing gold fan I picked up at Tesco (yes, seriously) for a mere £20. As soon as I saw it, I snatched it up even if it is too chilly to use right now! Oh and for those of you who love copper, it comes in that finish as well. This is why it’s totally worth checking out the home sections of your supermarkets – you just never know what pretty little bargains you may find.

And finally in the living room, my gold lobster is currently just hanging out on my coffee table. I might end up moving him somewhere else but for now, I kind of wanted to be able to see him every time we sit to binge watch whatever the latest thing on Netflix is.

Also, I know it’s still summer but I couldn’t help throwing this white goat hide from Joss & Main on my hoop chair. I just love the texture it adds to the room. My favourite time of day is first thing in the morning in here when the sunlight streams in. It’s just such a lovely feeling so I thought I’d share.

Anyway, so that’s where everything ended up in my home that I purchased from John Lewis!

Quickie question… Do you like this kind of format – in terms of combining a video with a blog post? I’d like to tie in any video content because I don’t want them to be totally stand alone things hanging out on YouTube, I really want them to compliment the blog and allow you to understand how and why I do what I do! If you did like the blog post/video tie in, please do let me know! And if not, well, if you have any suggestions for what you’d prefer to see, then I’m happy to take them into consideration too :)

In the meantime, what do you think of the little refreshes in the bathroom, dining room and living room? I’d love to hear from you!
