I think I first discovered Illustrator Megan Hess when I saw her glamorous home in Adore magazine.  Her entirely swoonworthy gallery wall was an instant Pinterest favourite for very good reason…

Megan Hess is an international illustrator, with an impressive list of some of the world’s top fashion designers, publications and labels; including Chanel, Laduree, Tiffany & Co and The Ritz Hotel. She illustrated the cover of Candace Bushnell’s Sex and the City and was commissioned to illustrate Michelle Obama at the the Inaugural Ball. Megan is also a former Art Director at Liberty & Co.

In Fashion House – Illustrated Interiors from the Icons of Style, Megan has illustrated some of the most fashionable and lavish interiors from around the world; from the glitzy Chanel atelier on Rue Cambon to Tom Ford’s sleek office in Milan. The book also includes gorgeously illustrated guides showing how to achieve the look, exclusive wallpaper, furniture and rug designs and inspirational decorating tips scattered throughout.

I admit, I do love the unabashed femininity of fashion illustrations and would plaster them over every wall if I didn’t think Wayne might roll his eyes at me so when Hardie Grant, the publishers of Megan’s new book asked me if I might like to review Fashion House, I jumped at the chance.

In her new book, Megan shares the interiors of the glamorous – both real and imagined as well as the style they effortlessly embody.
The book is broken into 3 sections – 10 Essentials Pieces where she illustrates everything from eclectic crockery to the resident pet, Rooms to Swoon Over from Warehouse Digs to The Paris Salon and finally, The Fashion Set from Donatella Versace to Coco Chanel.  Paging through is like entering a dream world filled with gloriously detailed spaces, gorgeous furniture and accessories and delicious pattern and colour.

It is a stunning book for any lover of either fashion or interiors – pattern and colour collide with a contemporary flair and eclectic mix and Megan’s instantly recognisable style.
Check out this video as well in which Megan talks about her inspiration behind Fashion House and have a little glimpse of  her own fabulous abode!

The book, just released this week in the UK, is now available on Amazon.co.uk.

I was provided The Fashion House by Hardie Grant free of charge for my review but all words, opinions and images except where indicated are very much my own.

Don’t miss a thing!
