It’s that time of the month that I get to share YOUR fearless style with the hashtag #fearlesshome. Can I just say how much I am absolutely LOVING this hashtag? My goodness, the amount of beautiful homes that are appearing in my feed are just amazing and so inspiring.

Fearless Home September 2016

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with this series, myself and my four other fearless hosts – Arielle, Brittany, Cassie and Jenna – are showcasing our favourite homes that use the #fearlesshome hashtag on Instagram every month. It’s an amazing chance to discover some incredibly talented people to follow as well as a chance for you to get some new followers too as each of us are sharing our favourites every single month as well as on our own Instagram feeds.

Want to know how to decorate fearlessly? Check out my posts here and here!

The homes we showcase are those ones where people have broken the rules, expressed their personalities, and scoffed at trends. You may love it or you may hate it but this is the thing with fearless design – the only person you have to please is yourself! (And perhaps the people that live in your home with you!). This is not about following the latest trends or creating a look that’s right out of Pinterest. It’s all about expressing your style in the way you feel most reflects YOU. And there is so much inspiration in that, isn’t there?

So on to my favourites! There are now nearly 2000 posts sharing the #fearlesshome hashtag so you can imagine how difficult it was to choose a few favourites to feature but here goes…

Now you know I’m not much of a ‘neutrals’ kinda gal but my goodness this is how I’d want to do it if I was. The stunning textures here just beg to be touched and I’m in love with the layered rugs. A splash of gold and green has taken this setting by Isieme House to new levels of gorgeous.

I love some big bold artwork and Whitney here shows you exactly how it should be done – unapologetically! That bold colour is set off so beautifully against that dark wall and it screams bold and fearless, don’t you think?

Don’t have a lot of architectural interest in your home? Create it! I adore Gillian’s use of paint here to create an amazing feature which draws the eye down the hallway to that stunning vintage mirror.

Now let’s talk about using colour fearlessly. Mairi has a line of stunning textiles and she shows them off with impeccable style with bold hues and pattern. The space is totally unique, bold and definitely different!

This next post made me chuckle immediately because Sara had been eyeing up this very weird sculpture at her local thrift shop all summer and finally decided to take him home. While many probably will overlook the ‘weird’, I honestly think you need it to create a totally unique space. He may not be to everyone’s taste but it will certainly get people talking!

And finally, I just had to share Rebecca’s incredible bedroom. The wild mix of patterns, textures and vintage pieces creates a space like no other! Sure, you can have a simple, calming bedroom but this is just so much more fun, don’t you think??

Thanks to the gorgeous @around_houses for tagging me to play along in this week’s #myeclecticmix, I hope you’re enjoying your well earned hosting week! Here is my bedroom which I decorated to be like a secret midnight enchanted garden, full of flowers and animals and twinkly stars. My poor husband was forced to have a baying wolf on his bedside table…sod a place for his books and glasses, that was the only spot that Wolfy looked good in! ? No pressure, and only if you want to, but would you like to play along @styleophileuk @marciekdesigns I think I would also like to join in with my other favourite tag, #moreismoredecor, and maybe pop a little bit of #fearlesshome into the mix for good measure. Love all these fun tags
