So on Wednesday, I shared with you my holiday snaps of our glorious holiday in sun-soaked Menorca and in that post, I said how I am often inspired by the colours, patterns, textiles, architecture et al. of other cultures.

Binibeca Menorca street

Well, if there was one thing that I adored whilst there, it was the blue blue sky (of course – seeing I live in Manchester, we don’t get to see a whole lot of blue sky) with the stark white buildings and the burst of bright pink bougainvillea against so many of the gorgeous homes. That colour combination made my heart SING people. SING.

I use a lot of pink as an accent colour in my interiors and my dining room is no exception with rich blue walls and touches of pink and orange. So it’s clearly a combination that I think looks fresh and bright and one I’ve used myself.

I figured today, I’d share some inspiration with you in that most glorious of colour combinations by way of some images that are like sweet, sweet luscious summertime candy for your eyes.

Now, this space I pinned ages ago because well, EVERYTHING. I adore the raspberry velvet sofa and those gorgeous blue chairs. The art, the accessories – it’s just so on point, I can’t stand it.

I love the effect of a contemporary watercolour design mural here with French-inspired accessories and furnishings. The eclectic combination results in a fresh look, perfect for summer.

I love chinoiserie-inspired blue and white ceramics and I wish I had more in my home but it’s expensive!! However, this combination with bright pink blooms in a blue and white pot? Gimme. Also that coffee table is just lush.

From the same home, I loved how fresh this shelf looks – I wish the ones in my own dressing room looked this bright and fun! I clearly wear too many black shoes.

If there was ever an argument to buying a pink sofa, I think this is it. Also, how good is that huge abstract? (Ok, so I want to swap out those cushions for something a little less graphic but STILL.)

Another where the deep blue is the backdrop but that bright shot of pink just does it for me.

And finally, this gorgeous vintage Persian runner is all you need to lift a neutral space into EPIC.

So tell me on this wonderful of Pink Fridays, is this a colour combination you get heart-eyed emojis over as well? Is it something you’ve used in your own home? Where’s the last place you’ve been that has inspired a colour combination in your own home? Let me know in the comments!
