Just in time for Christmas, I’m really excited to share this lovely giveaway with my readers.  But first I want to introduce you to a really cool website called Ask Her Friends.

How many times have you received a gift, however well-meaning, that was just completely and utterly disappointing (and possibly a little insulting)?  Well, Ask Her Friends founder, Ben Blomerley, had been on the other end of that disappointment a few too many times.  Despite being a genuinely nice chap (and a Twitter mate of mine), he cluelessly purchased a worm farm for a girlfriend as a gift long ago.

I mean, I know it’s the thought that counts and everything but a worm farm??

Seriously.

In the interests of full disclosure, I MAY have bought this for W last Christmas.
It was meant ironically however, unlike a worm farm.

Ben says, “At a complete loss of what to buy, I started asking my girlfriend’s mum and friends for their advice and they were really helpful. Then speaking to my mates, I came to realise that I wasn’t the only one getting it wrong in the gifting department.”

And so Ben decided to set up Ask Her Friends to help other well-meaning but utterly clueless men get it right when purchasing gifts for their wives, girlfriends, mums and other females in their life.

Where he can find such lovely things as this measuring tape bangle set…

Or a Mad Men Box Set…

Or some rather sweet and romantic artwork.

What makes AskHerFriends different is that it uses social media to rally together those who know you best and turn them into your guy’s own personal team of advisers.

It’s actually incredibly simple – he signs up, chooses from an absolutely endless variety of gifts and experiences on offer and puts them into his Advice List, which is then sent via e-mail or Facebook to your friends. They can then rate and comment on his choices, thereby deciding which of them will make you squeal in excitement the most. He has the confidence that you’ll love what he has chosen and you have the best Christmas ever.

With beautiful, unique products from cool boutiques including Tatty Devine, Pretty Dandy and Two Red Trees, AskHerFriends ensures that he has picked something truly special but it’s more than just another online shopping service.

AskHerFriends also helps spark inspiration with the Experts’ Blog, featuring ideas and tips on gift-buying as well as stories about the best and worst presents ever received! Even if he’s completely clueless, the Idea Map can guide his thoughts in the right direction.

So how about a chance to win a £30 voucher to use on the website?  Maybe you have a friend or sister or mum to buy for?  Or perhaps you might like to just treat yourself to something special for the holidays?

You can enter right here via Rafflecopter and enter however you wish to, no pressure to share if you don’t fancy it.  Also, just so you know, Rafflecopter is just a widget so doesn’t keep any of your sign in details.

What are you waiting for?  Best of luck!  I’ll be announcing the winner next Monday!
